A rural health clinic is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Urology experience to join a growing and busy Health Clinic team in beautiful Northern California.
The ideal candidate is someone who can be comfortable in a fast-paced environment seeing about 12 patients a day. The schedule is for Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. The practice is looking for someone with experience or interest in doing:PSA follow-up, digital rectal exam, prescribing appropriate medications for BPH and recommending prostatic needle biopsy if needed, recommending cystoscopy or surgical procedure. Urinary tract infection diagnosis and treatment. Urinary incontinence diagnosis and treatment. Postop visits. Preop visits with preop histories and physicals. Catheter changes. Bladder instillation. Managing kidney stones and arranging for or recommending treatment if needed. Urethral dilation of both male and females. Hematuria workups, bladder irrigations if necessary. Order appropriate imaging. Following prostate cancer, injections of antigen deprivation medications if necessary, arranging for treatment in other institutions.
This candidate should also be someone who is excited to provide compassionate care to patients in the small town of Ukiah, CA and surrounding areas. This is an outstanding opportunity for a provider who wants to live in a beautiful, family-friendly community and work with established providers and an under-served patient population. Incoming candidate will be working with one physician and open to covering some call.
