The bar team at The Restaurant at Meadowood oversees all aspects of cocktail and spirit service and education. Their goal is to ensure proper costing of items, appropriate inventory levels, recipe consistency, and that the guest service is maintained and expectations are exceeded.
Beyond a detailed knowledge of the bar s products the Bartender requires an in-depth knowledge of our food, kitchen, team, and their movements throughout service. This position is actively involved in all parts of service, not just drink execution, throughout the bar service areas and dining room. This may include making recommendations on spirit or cocktail pairings throughout the meal or in various spaces within The Restaurant (before dinner in the Rotunda, on the terrace, or after dinner by the fireplace). Above all else, the Bartender takes the lead in ensuring guests in the bar are getting the most out of their dining experience.
All members of the bar team report to the Bar & Spirits Manager
This is a full time position requiring open availability
An in-depth knowledge of the Spirits and Cocktails industry
A genuine passion for hospitality, service, food, and beverage
Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, energetic dining room
2-4 years bartending experience in a high-end dining room setting
Ability to repeatedly lift boxes and crates equivalent in weight to a case of wine
